23-25 January 2009. One from my friends said "There's a life before Pegasus and life after Pegasus." Such a truth she had!
The Wolf Pegasus Con 4 was the first foreign con for me so I didn't know what to expect.
The guests on this one were Paul McGillion, Kavan Smith, Chuck Campbell, James "BamBam" Bamford (Stargate Stunt co-ordinater), Christopher Heyerdahl (who played Todd the Wraith) and as a bonus guest Neil Roberts.
This trip to London was really big step for me because I've never flight before and never been in England! I couldn't wait for it!
So, when came the day with big "D" I was so nervous. I met my friends, who flew with me at the airport in Prague and the adventure started.
The flight was quick, about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Before than we went to the Thistle hotel (where we had rooms and where was whole convention arranged) we went to the Forbidden Planet shop (Who doesn't know - www.forbiddenplanet.co.uk ). We finally found him after short walking through streets ("Where the hell are we?" "I don't know! Ask someone." "But who?" "London has about seven million population, almost as our whole republic, here must be someone!") but I didn't find what I wanted so I bought only one from the Doctor Who books and after straight to the hotel.
I really don't like London's subway. It's so small! I know, it's the oldest subway and they can't do much about it, but still...the way to the city was really awful. Train was full and I had to stand in my winter jacket almost one hour in that incredible heat. Way back was much more better!

FRIDAY
So we finally arrived to the hotel. We met the rest of us, who arrived to the London day before and went to prepare for the evening! We had tickets under 300, so we could go to the Meet & Greet party, yay! (Meet & Greet party - fans sitting around the tables and actors comes to them, sits there for few minutes and talking. Great oppurtunity to get to know them!) Party should start at 20:30 but we were at queue to the hall one hour before, because we wanted to catch some table with low number. And there we were - 14 people from Czech Republic. Our little Czech invasion ;-) A lot of us were there the first time. I think only two or three girls from group were there on P2 or P3. Well, anyway, we had to separate to two groups and the first group actually got the table with number three and the second group got the table number eight. I was in "only-girls" group around table three and we were waiting. I think they started really late ( I don't remember it correctly...I don't even know they started late, how the time stopped exist for me, huh!) but it didn't matter for me.
The first who came to our table was Chuck. I don't know what to say - he's such a nice guy and he's so sweet! Before I met him, I was like "Okay, Chuck Campbell...that technician who was dialing the stargate and doing some stuff like that..." but he's so different! What a shame that he never got more space in some episode! He couldn't believe that we are really from Czech Republic (never mind the big Czech flag on the table). So my friend Klenotka proved it with one simple sentence - "Ano, opravdu jsme z České Republiky" ("Yes, we are really from Czech Republic"). Ohhh you should see his beautifully confused face! I'll never forget it! xD
The second was Paul. Really nice and good person. I don't remember exactly what we talked about but we said him, who's there for the second or third time and who's still "con virgin". He looked at me, when I told him that I'm one of them and we shaked our hands for sign, that I'll not be con virgin anymore, lol! And because we saw how he hugged somewhere all people around the table, he promised small kisses for all of us, because he didn't have any more time and had to go.
Third came Neil. I didn't know him, 'cause I haven't seen Babylon 5 yet and I don't much care about audio books so...Anyway, he was really funny. We talked about his job, how he was working in Prague and about his work on Babylon 5. He stayed for the longest time from all actors and when he's leaving, he hugged us.
Then we had a short pause. Actors were sitting at tables and we're waiting. Suddenly from nowhere came Paul and said "Krasny holky" in Czech ("Beautiful girls")! Oh, it was so unexpected! I looked at the table number eight and the rest of our friends just giggled at us. So it was clear now, where Paul got this phrase :-D
The next was BamBam. He looked very nice and professionally. I didn't talk with him so much, but my friends who were closer to him, asked him about his job and if he know some Czech stuntmen.
As fifth came Kavan Smith. What a pity that he was ill. He looked very tired but he still stayed nice. When we asked him how's his son, he totally got us with his answer "That little sucker gave me the flu!" We laughed so hard! But he was really nice.
And the last was Christopher. You just have to favour this guy. It was his first con so he told us how much excited he is. He also wanted to know, why we're thinking that our table is the most noisy table in the hall. So we proved it. "Very noisy." Poor Chris! I think he had to hear that little ringing in his ears for whole weekend!
Then the most of us went to sleep. That adrenalin-stuff left us for this day and we were so tired...

(From left to right: Saavik, Shial (Me), Klenotka, Blanca, Anijsha the "schedule-lover", Bára, Antaris and Kate.)
SATURDAY
I think I woke up already staying in queue for the photoshoots tickets. Don't much remember how I got there. Anyway, after while I got my five tickets for photos with actors (I bought Chuck, Paul, Neil, Kavan and Chris photoshoots) and went to the breakfast. Oh-my-God! I absolutely looooove British breakfasts! So many food to choose and delicious strong tea! I love it! I was there like in my personal paradise, hehe. Umm, okayyy....back to the point.
At 9:00 started discussion with Christopher Heyerdahl. I wasn't there so long, because five minutes after beginning started photoshoots with Neil. He didn't forget our "little" Czech group and whole weekend we greeted each other with typical Czech "Ahoj!". Then we came back to the hall see a few minutes from discussion with Paul, because then was another photoshoot - with Chris. Pity that it was so quick, He's really interesting person.I just asked him if we can do really big hug, because he's one of the few actors who are higher than me so I wanted to enjoy it ^_^
You can see the final picture here -

Then we caught the rest of debate with Paul and then was photoshoot with him. Then was Neil in the hall, so we finally could sit down and just listen and have fun. Then was a lunch break. Few of us went to the local McDonald. I really don't like McDonald's food but when is someone hungry and haven't any food... :-/
The afternoon programme started with photoshoot with Kavan. He looked that he feels much better than day before. I remember I had to bend my knees a little, because I really didn't want to see higher than him in the final photograph. The debate had BamBam but I didn't go there and took a little pause in my room. Then was photoshoot with Chuck and me and most of my friends took positions in the front part of queue. Chuck is sooo sweet! So, it was all photoshoots and then...no, wait! How could I almost forget?! Oh, yes...because it was really unexpected and spontaneous decision. I think it was right Chuck's discussion when the screen on the wall show us the announcement that photoshoot with Paul in a kilt is right now! I couldn't resist! xD So I spent another 15 pounds for photoshoot. No wonder I had only five pounds next day. But I'm not sorry for that. I talked with two fan girls when we're waiting in a queue and it was nice. My English got finally some practise! :-) When I came to Paul, he recognized me. "Hey, Czechoslovakia!" "No, no, we are only Czech now." "Sorry!" ;-) We are really only Czech Republic now. Slovakia is republic on their own from 1993. A lot of people doesn't know that. Anyway I was sorry that I couldn't see whole Chuck's debate. Well, then I came back to the hall just for the beginning of auction. Money from auction were for children charity and I just wondered how many money can people give for some things! (Well if I had a money...:-) )
And some photos from auction -

The next programme started at 20:30 - Costume evening! I sat down in front of tables to have the best shots. All costumes were beautiful and very precious done. The winners became the Wraiths and their worshipers.

Wraith Queen. Beautiful and little scary!

LOL xD

Friends of mine with costume "Mallozzi's nightmare" >:)

"Teyla". Very brave girl, she sang the Teyla's song!

A Dog's Breakfast! Yay!

And the Puddle Jumper! xD
After costume show came Dial or No Dial hosted by Neil Robets.

Then began the party! But I wasn't much interest (I can't dance, lol!) so I and my two friends Antaris (my roommate) and Kate went to my room and shared our experiences. After one hour we went back to the party to see what's happening there. Ooooo everybody was dancing!

Danciiiiing! :-) (From left to right: Klenotka, Tar-ara, Anijsha and Bára)
But I couldn't stay there any longer, because the music was VERY loud. So I went out of hall and met my friend Blanca. She apparently enjoyed talking with people and with actors, who were there too. We used the moment and caught Christopher who was so willing that we could take group photo of me, Blanca and him. :) But then I started to feel a little sad. I don't know why, just how are you still happy and smiling, sometimes has to came end of this great mood. But it was just a really short weak while, because at Pegasus con you can't simply be negative or sad! Always comes something that cheers you up! ;-) (For me it was that Chuck congratulated on my birthday :-) )
SUNDAY
Aaaahhh...another brilliant British breakfast! That simply makes your morning!
This day no more photoshoots, so we could take our seats in the hall and stay there to the lunch break. First on the programme was Chuck, then Kavan and after him BamBam. He showed us a battle scene with his stuntmen colleagues and with some girl from audience. Very interesting. Then, because I didn't have any money (I really had only my five pounds for the bus to the airport) for some food I had to took some biscuits from my personal emergency reserve. After quick lunch came Chris who was exchanged with Neil who came right after him. Then I get off the hall because I started to feel a little tired and I needed while of silence. My friend Antaris went with me. We were sitting on the corridor and gave a little break when Chris passed around us and waved. I remembered that Blanca had a small plan with Chris so I quickly called her and we caught him - yes, again :) Blanca asked him if he could tell his replica from the SGA episode "Common Ground" with his fantastic wraith voice to her phone that she could record it! He took her phone and said "There are so many things you don't know about the Wraith, John Sheppard!" Wheeee! I still can feel that creeps! Then he had to go to the stage at official closing ceremony. Every actor had his moment to say how he liked it and how he enjoyed whole weekend. Sad and beautiful moment - to see all actors on stage how they're clapping to audience - to you. I was touched. We said goodbye and then ruuuuun for the autographs! We were in the front of queue (mwaha :-) ) and waited for the actors.

Huraaayyy autographs! I was standing there, holding my photos tightly and couldn't wait! And I was so nervous...you know..."what I'll tell them? Will I say some bullshit? Oh my, I hope not! Etc. etc." But everything was more than good! First was Chris, who signed me his serious-wraith photo. Then was Chuck who wrote me fantastic message on the photo! I just had to squeee there xD (I don't know if I can publish it...better not xD ). Third was Paul. Oooh Paul, such a really kind person. I reminded him his promise which he gave us the first evening. He stood up, gave me a little kiss on the cheek and hugged me. Then we exchanged a few words and I moved to the another table, now with Kavan. I'm sorry that I didn't have a chance to talk to him more. He praised me a photo which I chose for sign. The next was Neil, who introduced me to two people sitting next to him, gave me a little kiss (he gave it to almost all girls - I think he really enjoyed it xD ) and shaked our hands. The last was BamBam. Same as Kavan - I'm sorry that I couldn't talk to him more. He's really interesting.
So, here it was. Nothing more on programme. Sounds like end of the whole weekend...but it definitely isn't! The party waited for us! And another little evil plan...mwahahaaaa!
Our friend Eleira - she is definitely the biggest Czech fan of Kavan Smith - couldn't come with us to the convention, so Blanca (yes, Blanca again...she's such an action girl!) had a brilliant idea - bring a piece of convention to her. She talked with Kavan if he would be so kind and said through the phone some words to our friend. And he agreed! He said that we must catch him after whole that autographs. So we sat on the stairs, took a pleasure in our photos and autographs and waited. Some of us went to visit the central London to see something from typical London such as Big Ben, Palace of Westminster, Buckingham Palace etc. I stayed on stairs :) (You know, with my few pounds...I couldn't do much)

I absolutely love this photo xD (from up to down: Božan, Vlad Dracul, Blanca, Tar-ara, Klenotka and Nappy - my life-saver :-D )
Some McKay/Sheppard break dance - they couldn't apparently wait for the party!
We waited so long. I think it was about two hours? I don't remember correctly but when the queue for autographs ended we began our attack! Actors started to comming out of the room. "Czech Republic!" recognised us Paul and wished us luck on the tomorrow's way home. We thanked to him and after few minutes came out Kavan. When he saw us he remembered his promise and come to us. Blanca called Eleira meanwhile I learnt Kavan how to correctly say her name. "Eleira, don't panic." Said Blanca in Czech and gave the phone to Kavan (Eleira didn't know anything about what we planned to do). "Hello? Hello, Eleira? This is Kavan Smith." Then he said he heard that she couldn't come and if she will not come next time, he will kick her ass! xD With this beautiful gesture (not that he'll kick my friend's ass :-D ) he totally got us. Thank you so much Kavan!

I had to take a photo as a proof for Eleira. I knew she will be not able to belive! :o)
We were so happy - it actually worked! So we went for some food (Still giggling and imagining how was Eleira's reaction after that phone call) and then went back to the party. We stayed at the corridor. After some minutes came Kavan, Chris and Chuck to see how it's going. It was really nice! I remember how came Chuck and everybody wants a photo with him again! (photoshoots weren't enough! :-D ). So he let fans to hug him again and again and again...till we did some sort of "Czech vacuum" around him, like Klenotka said :-D Then she asked him, if we can take a group photo with him. "Sure, that´s why I am here“ Said simply Chuck. So here it is!

From left to right (standing people): Miss Tucker, Klenotka, Chuck, Me, Anijsha, Blanca and on the down positions are Lukas, Nappy and Tar-ara. Still some people from our Czech Invasion group missing.
Then she asked Chris for the group photo too -

Wow, much more of us than in Chuck's photo. Still three girls missing. (Taken by Mark Bukumunhe. Thank you! :) )
MONDAY

Reminiscing with love...rest in peace (I had to take a picture of it!)
We enjoyed fully our last breakfast. Then we went back to our rooms and the packing came. We were done sooner than we expected, so we lay on beds and watched TV. Just when some episode of Stargate Atlantis was there :-D Then our time came, I caught my bag and looked round the room for the last time. We took a hotel taxi to the airport and there waited for our plane. Before that, we stopped at some shop and bought some magazines who aren't available in our country (Like some sci-fi magazines - Doctor Who, Stargate Atlantis, Star Trek and stuff like that...). After some while of waiting we could go to our plane and after few minutes we were ready for the way home. The plane took off and showed us the London city for the last time.
Goodbye London and see you next time!
So...what's changed for me?
- I better know my friends. They are really awesome, thank you all very, very much!!
- I finally got little practise in my English. Now I'm not so afraid to talk in this language like before. (It doesn't matter if I'm talking with many mistakes...important is that I'm really talking!)
- Met a lot of new brilliant people!
- I became Chuck's fan...definitely ^_^
- I discover that I actually love flying! :-D
And that's just a few things....I'm so happy that I had a chance to be there! See you next year on Stargate Worlds! ;-)
(And I'm sorry if I have some mistakes in my text...as I actually have! But don't know where, umm...)

And if you want to see my photos, or photos from my friends from P4, check out our gallery - foto.sga-project.com/index.php Enjoy!
The Wolf Pegasus Con 4 was the first foreign con for me so I didn't know what to expect.
